We have expanded to supply a range of solutions from flow chemistry, and photochemistry, to larger reactors for up-scaling. Asynt products provide sustainable environmentally friendly options for chemists through the reduction of oil or water waste, whilst incorporating unique safety features and designs focused on ease of use. Our dedication to providing the right solution for each customer, whether that’s with an off-the-shelf product or a custom-made collaboration ensures that chemists get the best equipment for their purpose. Asynt collaborates with manufacturers to supply UK and international laboratories. We also distribute external brands and promote other businesses that align with our customer’s needs. However, as Asynt has expanded to a greater number of customers, both within and outside of the UK, greater infrastructure is needed to sustain our growth. Colin has a long track record in local government, having served as Cabinet Member and then Leader of Suffolk County Council. He has been a Forest Heath now West Suffolk District Councillor for many years. He is a past Chairman and current member of the East of England Local Government Association's Outcome and Improvement Board. Nationally, he has served two terms on the Local Government Association's Community Wellbeing Board. Colin is a national Local Government Association Peer and is elected to the Conservative Executive of the LGA. Colin runs a multi-discipline consultancy with over 37 years of experience working with clients from private developers, Local Authority Housing Companies, Housing Associations, Build to Rent and Retirement Living providers. Connecting clients and successfully navigating through frameworks, DPS and public procurement processes to build quality, private & social, homes through understanding the needs of clients, communities, buyers and tenants. Using experience and focused on delivering solutions on Modular Construction, Net Zero Carbon, sustainable housing, Housing Retrofitting and eco heating, Hydrogen production and strategy, and transport.

    Prof. Mario Caccamo < GO BACK TO ADVISORY BOARD Professor Mario Caccamo was appointed as the Head of Crop Bioinformatics at NIAB in 2015, Managing Director of NIAB EMR in 2017 and NIAB CEO in October 2021. A computer scientist by training, Mario has over 20 years’ experience in life science research and big data, including specific projects to apply the latest DNA sequencing technologies and bioinformatics methods to advance scientific understanding of crop genetics and the interaction of agricultural crops with their environment. Mario has led the work on the assembly of the first whole-genome release of the wheat reference sequence and was also one of the founding co-chairs of the expert working group within the Wheat Initiative focused on the deployment of an international Wheat Information System. He continues with his leading role in the cereal bioinformatics communities at both national and international levels.

    Prashant Shah < GO BACK TO ADVISORY BOARD Prashant is the CEO of o2h co-work labs, a general partner of the o2h seed fund and the co-CEO/co-founder of the o2h group. The vision of o2h is to seed new ideas in life-science, technology and green innovation. He holds various board, NED and chair positions and is the founder of a number of micro-community groups including the AIM squad, techbio caucus, bootcamps, innovation conferences and a Cambridge open day. As a serial entrepreneur from the dot-com era now covering life-science and tech he co-founded a drug discovery company that was acquired by a major public company. He is an active ecosystem, community and culture builder and interests include seed investing, services and product/IP development. Prashant has experience of funding, designing and building companies, teams and lab/office infra across the spheres of the east and west. He began his career with the strategy group of Accenture in London working across various industry groups including music, FMCG, financial services and big pharma. Prashant is an author and has a BEng, an MSc, in which he worked on the robotics of Human Genome Program at the Sanger Centre, and an MPhil in Management from the Judge Institute, Cambridge University which included research on the strategies on the competition of nations.
